Basque Green Film

Basque Green Film is our commitment to promoting sustainable filmmaking practices in the Basque Country.

This initiative, led by the Department of Culture and Linguistic Policy of the Basque Government, offers practical support to ensure environmentally responsible productions.

The Basic Guide provides step-by-step instructions for developing a sustainability plan tailored to your project, integrating measures to reduce environmental impact.

Additionally, the Sustainability Plan serves as a central tool for setting objectives, selecting specific actions, and defining responsibilities. The Basic Guide and the rest of the tools that you can download are based on the Green Film sustainable film certification, the standard adopted by CineRegio (the network of regional film funds and Film Commissions in Europe, to which the Department of Culture and Language Policy of the Basque Government belongs).
